Woof woof, Miyuki here. Wow, August has just flown by. I've been so busy watching over our new pack member, and all of a sudden, it’s Spring! I love how these sunshiney days encourage my humans to take long walks outside in nature. I have also been helping dig up the garden (we are getting the vegie patch ready for planting!). Unfortunately this blissful weather also means more fleas, and many Australian pets including yours truly suffer with flea allergy symptoms in the warmer months.
Discover how to nurture your pet dog or cat's health and well-being, naturally. With posts from resident Earth-Doggy Miyuki, Miss Purrrfect Monique, and Holistic Vet Dr Renee, along with adventures in living a natural green life.

Grey(ing) Wolf - Natural Vet Care for Senior Pets
Woof Woof, Miyuki here again. Winter is creeping up on us, I can feel the chill in the air! Being a shaggy-coated dog, I love the colder months. I am really enjoying the cooler days for walking, and despite my age (I am now considered a 'senior dog' for my large breed at 7 years of age), my energy levels and joints can still keep up with me.

The Perils of Pet Food - A Tribute to Venus
Meow! Miss Monique here. In keeping with my mischievous nature, my first post on the dangers of commercial pet food is going to be fiercely informative, and at times a little fiesty! I have spent the last week boarding with a friend of Dr Renee's while the human family was away up north, and so have had much time to ponder my first topic - 'The Perils of Pet Food'! Aaargh!

Sunrise Walks - Early Morning Explorations for Crepuscular Canines
Woof Woof, Miyuki here. The human baby of the family has been waking up very early the last few weeks, before the sun rises, and even before the kookaburras start singing! Which means early morning walks for me!

Green Sprouts Amidst Falling Leaves - Sprouting for Family Health
Autumn is upon us, and with its lovely fresh breezes and cooler evenings, inspires long walks with your earth-doggies, or dreamy couch cuddles with your purrring puss. We've had some gorgeous sunny days here in our Blue Water Wonderland, and spent this evening meandering around our sand dunes for over an hour. Some days, however, like last week, our skies here are dull and grey and the weather is less conducive to outdoor play. So I have been inspired to master the art of sprouting and growing indoor greens.
